This really is a fast charger which is much better than the standard charger which came with my Makita drills, there is a built in fan which helps with cooling when charging, it was nice to see the percentage charge increasing rapidly, if you have larger capacity batteries then I would say that one if these fast chargers is a must.
Well made with a nice clear display, I think that this is a little expensive but when time is money this is well worth it, I only want for DIY use but I like the faster charging.
I'm using my power tools nonstop and waiting for the batteries to charge is the worst. Bought this quick charger and it's been wonderful. Charged my 5.0ah battery in what seemed like a blink of an eye, certainly in under an hour. LCD display is easy to read, lets you know exactly what's happening. Charges my other LXT Li-ion batteries as well. Fan is loud but I'll put up with that for the charging speed. Good addition to my workshop.
Great charger for my Makita batteries - it's definitely faster than the OEM model, I'd say 33-50% faster.
It's cool as these have a built in cooling function - fans! So it keeps the battery at a reasonable temperature whilst it's super fast charging. You get a nice display that tells you the charging status too.
Don't see a reason to use my original anymore, this is far superior and great value for money - as it makes everything faster and works great!
Really impressed with this charger — it’s far better than my original Makita one. The build quality feels solid and well-made, with no cheap parts or flimsy bits. It’s got a large, clear LCD screen that shows the charging status properly, which is a nice touch.
Charging speed is excellent — noticeably faster than what I was used to. It doesn’t get hot while running, which gives a bit more peace of mind when leaving batteries on charge. Compatibility has been spot on too — works well with both my Makita LXT 14.4V–18V batteries and the Torxup packs I’ve got, including BL1830 and BL1850 types.
All in all, it exceeded what I was expecting. Does the job better than I thought, and I’d definitely recommend it if you want something that’s quick, reliable, and built to last.
